Alignment

The location of the freeway has been planned for many years. The location is the preferred alternative that was selected in the late 1980s, in consideration of many factors using a process known as an environmental assessment. Much of the right-of-way needed for the freeway has been purchased while it is still undeveloped, when it is less costly and less impacting to others. The freeway will be designed to lessen negative impacts to adjacent property owners. An example of the mitigation, or reduction of impacts, will be the construction of walls to block and thereby reduce the traffic noise to adjacent residential propeThe freeway project is broken into two phases, each of which has two sub-phases. Follow the links below to see various design features of each phase.
